In crystal caves,

in caverns, deep,
through tunnels, long,
we hide away from mankind’s ills.
We hide inside the hollow hills.

I followed lights into the mountains.
I found a fountain. green, stone fountain
I drank its water, and as I lay,
illusion slipped away.
I spiraled through an eldritch madness,
a stretching moor of sadness,
climbing stairs through dark dimensions,
down wells of black invention.
Hidden trails through space and time
led through outside design.
I met a king, called Azathoth,
on a stone throne, wreathed in chaos.
